Journalists and Math: help!

Journalists are often mediocre at math. And it’s not Agence
Science-Presse pointing the finger. Many journalists over the
years have groaned at the howlers committed by their colleagues
the instant a number raises its nasty little head — to the
extent that there are now numerous courses and tests online if
only to teach you that, well, 60% and 1/60 are not exactly the
same thing!
